crocodile tears anthony horowitz

This is the 8th book in the Alex rider series
A nuclear technician in India plants a bomb in a pump in a Nuclear Power plant in india but is killed by the blast  A cloud of nuclear steam slowly travels towards Jowada, Meanwhile Alex Rider is spending New Year's with Sabina Pleasure and her family in Scotland. He attends a New Year's Eve party hosted by the businessman Desmond McCain, founder of the charity First Aid.
This book is great just like the others in the series i do have to say this is a bit of let down from the others to me .
the scene setting for the nuclear power station and qiute a few other places was really good
the plot seemed to be the same as the others .alex doesnt want to be a spy .mi6 want him to do a mission fight some bad guys gets hurt kills the bad guy the end .
the characters also seemed to not that well developed to me maybe more of a back story to them.
thats why in my opinion i would give it

hereos of olyimpus rick rodian

Heroes of Olympus
Jason wakes up on a bus with strange people who he doesn't  know then his world is turned upside down when his coach turns into a  satyr and he is taken to camp half blood. then it is a race against time to save the universe and save the mysterious old lady . I really liked this book as it was filled with a different type of fantasy adventure that other books can’t give you . The language was really easy to read but there parts which have Latin but straight after there is a translation. To me the characters are well developed especially Leo the boy with ADHD he is possibly my favourite as he is a technical whizz with godly powers .The main theme of this book was that the main character is trying to find his memories and save the mysterious lady .This book is set over America as they travel quite a lot but the author really describes places well. This book is amazing and I can’t wait for the next book coming out in Autumn

fire eaters by David Almond

This is a great book by David almond who is one of the best he has ever written. The book is set just before  ww2 and follows a boy called bobby who meets a mysterious old man called mc nulty  who is a fire eater that is why the book is called fire eaters. the two people meet in a market square when the young boy is asked by mc nulty  to stick a huge skewer through his cheek but not until he gets his pay.  this book has also wonwon the Whitbread, the Smarties Gold Award and was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal.
I would recommend this book and i would give it ******
